Sarah Beth Martin is the author of In the Vanishing Hour and The One True Ocean, both released in 2022 by Encircle Publications. Her first novel, The One True Ocean, was originally published in 2003 (Sourcebooks) in the U.S. and Germany, and her short fiction and essays have appeared in various magazines and literary journals, including Cicada, Pearl, West Wind Review, Women Writers, Women's Books, and most recently, Flash Fiction magazine.
Sarah grew up in Massachusetts among creative parents and siblings, and spent her early years painting and taking part in local art shows. She studied drafting in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and later attended the University of Southern Maine. She has worked as a computer-aided drafter, a web content editor, and a freelance copywriter. Her creative endeavors also include artisan bead jewelry, which she sells to retail stores under the name Vintage Earth. Sarah lives in coastal Maine with her husband and three nearby stepsons, and three cats who occasionally make the social media headlines. She is currently wrapping up her third novel.
